The Derry Intermediate Football Club Championship currently known for sponsorship reasons as The Elk Derry Intermediate Football Club Championship) is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association club competition between the intermediate (second tier) Derry clubs. The winners of the Derry Championship qualify to represent their county in the Ulster Intermediate Club Championship and in turn, go on to the All-Ireland Intermediate Football Club Championship. Although, the most coveted position won by the winning team is their qualification to play in the Derry Senior Club Football Championship the following year. The current Derry Intermediate County Champions are Eoghan Rua Cúil Raithin who became champions with a win over O'Brien's Foreglen on October 7, 2006.
