Derrimut Heath Primary School

Derrimut Heath Primary School is a primary school in Hoppers Crossing, near Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The school was founded in 1992, and its inaugural principal was Nal Manolakakis. The school has about 700 enrolled students ranging from Prep to Grade 6.

The first principal was Nal Manolakakis, a former player in the Australian Football League, playing for South Melbourne. He died of cancer in 2000, and Meg Lee became the acting principal before Julie Mason was appointed permanent principal later that year. Julie is also a member of the local Rotary club.

In 2006, the school proposed a new campus of the school, to begin in 2007. It will be for Grade Prep - year 9s and will be located in the neighbouring suburb of Tarneit.

The school has an outstanding music program, but they also have extra music lessions held in school hours. The extra lessons aren't compulsory, but there is the choice of keyboards and electric guitar. In 2006, they introduced some string, brass and woodwind instruments to the extra music lessons.
