Derrick Comedy

Derrick Comedy is an internet sketch comedy group, originating from New York University (NYU).

Dominic Dierkes, Dan Eckman, Donald Glover and DC Pierson began writing and performing sketches together in 2003. They have directed and co-written (with Hammerkatz NYU) six sketch revues that have been showcased at Syracuse University, the University of Massachusetts, New York University, and the National College Comedy Festival. As a part of the Wicked Wicked Hammerkatz, Derrick has written and performed in three sketch revues at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Derrick split off from Hammerkatz in early 2006. Members of Derrick have appeared on television in Sketch Cram (a TBS pilot), The Nighttime Clap on Fuse and Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and MTV, and developed a pilot for Comedy Central.[1][2][3]
Eckman is the Video Production Director for Blue Man Group, while Glover currently writes for NBC's 30 Rock.

The members of Derrick [4] are also experienced improvisers and graduates of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre school of improvisation. They have performed improv in several festivals, including the National College Comedy Festival in 2004 through 2007, and the Del Close Marathon in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Derrick is primarily based at the UCB Theatre.
