Derrick Brown

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

John Derrick Brown is the father of Scottish football referee Colin Brown,[1] and a former director of Cowdenbeath FC.

He was previously the chairman of local rivals East Fife FC,[2] his unpopular methods were largely blamed for the clubs recent demise both on and off the park,[3] and in August 2006 he was removed as chairman[4] and it is envisaged that he will be removed from the club altogether[5] due to intense pressure from the supporters.

Despite claiming to be a lifelong East Fife supporter,[6] he recently returned to Cowdenbeath FC, much to the amusement of the many East Fife supporters he had lectured about being “a bigger supporter” than them.
