Derek O'Brien

Derek O'Brien (born January 11, 1963) is a drummer and producer who has been involved with many bands and projects throughout his career. He is arguably most famous for having been the first consistent drummer for Social Distortion from 1981-1984. He left Social Distortion on New Year's Eve 1984 along with friend and Social Distortion bassist Brent Liles. Liles and O'Brien would again be bandmates in the early 90's with Agent Orange.
He also appeared in Another State Of Mind in 1983
