Derek Lyng

Derek Lyng (born 4 July 1978) is an Irish sportsman. He is a midfield player on the Kilkenny senior hurling team.
A player with the Emerald's club in Urlingford, County Kilkenny, Lyng joined the county's senior hurling panel in 2001. As a player at all levels with Kilkenny he has won many honours in the game, including 2 All-Ireland Senior Hurling medals, 5 Leinster Senior Hurling medals, 4 National Hurling League medals, 1 All-Ireland U-21 medal and several All Star awards.
