Derajat

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Derajat is an area of Pakistan, located in the region associated with the Baloch tribes. Derajat consists of two districts, Dera Ghazi Khan, which was founded by Ghazi Khan Nawab, and Dera Ismail Khan, founded by Ismail Khan Mirani. A smaller district, Rajanpur, has recently been separated from Dera Ghazi Khan.

The language of Derajat is Derawali (also known as Siraiki), but Balochi and Urdu are also spoken there.
