Welcome to Wikipedia!
Welcome to Wikipedia, Depressed Marvin! I'm Celestianpower. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". Hello. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! Here, however, are a few links to get you started:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
There are lots of policies and guidelines to get to grips with but they all make your life easier and your stay more fun in the long run. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or add {{helpme}} to your userpage - someone will come very, very quickly to your aid. Please be sure to sign your posts on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? ;)
I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a great time, all the best, sayonara and good luck! --Celestianpower hab 21:27, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Elliott Yamin
You spelled Elliott's name wrong. It's Elliott, not Elliot. Besides, there's already an article about him. Va girl2468 03:46, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Use of Image
I've deleted the Marvin the paranoid Android image, as it's a fair use image and can only be on relevent articles. If you have any questions, ask 'em on my talk page. Regards,--Atomic-Super-SuitWhat Have I Done?! 03:26, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Eragon_Poster_9.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Eragon_Poster_9.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Lostturbineenhanced.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Lostturbineenhanced.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Ghost Rider 2 (film)
A tag has been placed on Ghost Rider 2 (film), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ThuranX 13:44, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Move of Donnie Darko
Hi Depressed Marvin, would you mind explaining the rationale behind moving Donnie Darko to Donnie Darko (film)? I could find no discussion of such a move on Talk:Donnie Darko (film), and on its face, the move runs contrary to Wikipedia's naming conventions, but I am unsure if maybe there are reasons behind the move that I am not aware of. Thanks, —bbatsell ¿? ✍ 05:24, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
