Department of Transport and Regional Services (Australia)

The Department of Transport and Regional Services (DOTARS) is an Australian Government department. It's role is to conduct research, analysis and safety investigations, provide safety information and advice based upon these investigations and perform regulatory functions.

The department is charged with the administration of the Ashmore and Cartier Islands, Christmas Island, and the Cocos Islands.
