The Departamento de Oceanografia e Pescas (Portuguese meaning the Department of Oceanography and Ichthyology) is an instutution and a campus related to biology, it is one of the three campuses of the Universidade dos Açores and is located in the Azores' third major community named Horta. Students from the Azores and around the world attend the university for oceanographical and ichthyological studies. The campus was constructed in the 1970s and the 1980s to increase student capacity.
