It's a great place to raise a family, but being an hour out of Dallas limits your nightlife options. I think most places in this country could use better options for socializing. I don't see Denison as a Great city, but it hardly sucks compared to the alternatives out there. 69.116.61.10 02:16, 26 December 2006 (UTC)G

Denison is quiet most of the time, but it isn't so bad.

The crime rate is higher than the towns to the north, but to the north is Oklahoma. On the other hand, the crime rates are much lower than Dallas proper, or even Sherman for that matter (The town immediately to the south.)

Nightlife wise, the main options are a handful of bars, and redneck stuff. If you don’t know what redneck stuff refers to, then you are probably more intelligent for the lack of knowing.

The schools are some of the better in the area. There are a few bookstores, and occasionally a gaming shop or two (they come and go).
