Denzil Llewellyn Douglas (born January 14, 1953) is the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis. He became leader of the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party in 1989 and won the general election in 1995. He has been prime minister since July 7, 1995, and was also foreign minister from then until 2000. He is a graduate of the University of the West Indies. He has a daughter who is a doctor and a namesake son.His party won the elections again in the years 2000 and 2004. On October 27, 2006, Denzil was the honorary guest at a fundraising banquet for Mount Carmel Pentecostal Church, whose pastors, Pastor Judith and Elder Moulton Esdaille are from the island of Nevis.
