Denys Wilkinson

Sir Denys Haigh Wilkinson FRS (born 5 September 1922) is a British nuclear physicist. He was educated at at Loughborough Grammar School and Jesus College, Cambridge.
He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1956 and he won its Hughes Medal in 1965 and a Royal Medal in 1980.
In 2001 the Nuclear Physics Laboratory at the University of Oxford was renamed in his honour.[1]
