Wing Commander Bob Tuck (died March 29, 1944) was a prisoner of war and was in the X Organization during The Great Escape.

Tuck was born in Malta and his year of birth has not yet been specified. In 1931, Tuck enlisted in the British Royal Air Force and was a Wing Commander. Tuck was shot down in 1940 with Squadron Leader Roger Bushell and was sent to a POW camp. In the first camp, Roger Bushell started the X Organisation. Bushell and the X Organisation attempted many escpaes, all of them were close to success. Tuck along with most of the X Organisation were sent to Stalag Luft III.

In 1943, "Big X" Roger Bushell was planning and escape which in history would remember as The Great Escape. Tuck served as a surveyor trying to find out how far out is the camp is. While all the prisoners were going through the tunnel, Tuck tripped and made a loud noise which ruined the plan and got 76 prisoners out instead of 250. Eventually Tuck would be recaptured in March of 1944. A couple of days after his recapture, he was executed by the Gestapo with a pistol to the head. In 1963, Nigel Stock would play him in the movie "The Great Escape" however, would have the name Denys Cavendish instead of Bob Tuck.
