Dennstaedtia punctilobula |
Dennstaedtia punctilobula (Hay-Scented Fern) is a species of deciduous fern that grows across North America, especially in the Appalachian area. It is a very tough fern that can grow in damp or dry soil in the woods or open woods, and grows to around 15 inches tall. Its name comes from the fact that crushing its fronds produces an aroma of fresh hay.
