Dennis is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is located on the Hurstbridge railway line in the suburb Northcote, between South Crescent and Cain Avenue. It is in Metcard ticketing Zone 1.
[edit] Facilities
This station has two platforms located either side of the railway lines. It services what is now a predominantly residential area, although it is close to a small strip of shops in Victoria Road. In earlier days, it also had a shop across the road and a busier strip in nearby Simpson Street, but these have both closed down.
Dennis has car parking facilities and disabled access, but few other facilities. Most passenger trains on this line stop here, although there are a small number of express trains that bypass the station.
It is around 15 minutes walk from busy High Street, Northcote and ten minutes walk from the Italian-influenced Station Street, Fairfield. A number of buses also stop in Victoria Road, such as those to Latrobe University, and as such, are accessible via Dennis.
