[edit] Biography

Dennis Swanberg was raised in Austin, Texas in a "mostly blue-collar, but sometimes ring-around-the-collar"[1] family in the fifties. Growing up in the fifties, he early on nailed an impersonation of his television hero, Barney Fife of the Andy Griffith Show. He was an incorrigible class clown in high school, but in college at Baylor he felt the Lord was calling him to a special kind of ministry. He now travels to churches, seminars and gatherings all over the nation to deliver his unique presentation of humorous impersonations and stories mixed with spiritually uplifting messages. For several years, "The Swan" has been the host of his own television show, Swan's Place, a variety talk show that features Christian singing groups and comedians, which is viewed by over one million households.[2]
