Dennis Locorriere

Dennis (Michael) Locorriere (born 13 June 1949) was the lead vocalist, guitarist and principal songwriter of the pop group Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show, later Dr Hook.
Born in Union City, New Jersey, Locorriere, as a founding member of Dr Hook, was the recipient of more than 60 gold and platinum albums, gaining #1 chart status in more than 42 different countries. He is also a notable songwriter, his songs having been recorded by Bob Dylan, Crystal Gayle, BJ Thomas, Helen Reddy, Willie Nelson, Southside Johnny and most recently, Jerry Lee Lewis on his 2006 critically acclaimed, historical release 'Last Man Standing'
Locorriere's company retains the rights to the trademark name, Dr Hook, although it is licensed to Ray Sawyer for touring purposes. Locorriere appropriately tours as "The Voice of Dr Hook", it having been his voice that was heard on most of the Dr Hook classics. His solo performances includes songs from his illustrious past, as well as newer material from his solo period. Locorriere has released two critically acclaimed solo CDs, Out of the Dark and One of the Lucky Ones, a well received 'live' CD set titled 'Dennis Locorriere 'Live in Liverpool' as well as a concert DVD of his solo show, 'Alone With Dennis Locorriere'
March 2007 will see Locorriere and his band embark on the 'Dennis Locorriere Celebrates Dr Hook Hits and History' Tour.
A new album is expected from Locorriere in late 2007, early 2008. A US will be also be released in 2007.
