Dennis Gorski

Dennis Gorski is a retired politician in New York. A resident of Cheektowaga, New York, Gorski is a former County Executive of Erie County, New York.
Gorski, a Democrat, was an Erie County Legislator and a member of the New York State Assembly prior to his election as county executive. Gorski was first elected county executive in 1987 and reelected in 1991 and 1995. In 1992, Gorski ran for Congress to succeed Democrat Henry Nowak, he was defeated in the general election by Republican Jack Quinn. In 1999 Gorski was defeated for a fourth term by Republican Joel Giambra.
Since leaving the county executive's office, he has worked in private business in Buffalo, New York.
