Denise Welch

Denise Welch (born May 22, 1958 in Ebchester, County Durham) is an English actress, best known for her role as Rovers Return barmaid and manageress Natalie Horrocks Barnes on the soap opera Coronation Street, which she played from 1997 to 2000.
Prior to her Coronation Street role, she acted on the television series Spender and Soldier Soldier. After leaving the Street, she hosted her own DIY series and then acted on the drama Down to Earth, and appeared in a series of SCS adverts promoting soft furnishings.
In 1995, her double-A side "You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me/Cry Me a River" spent three weeks in the UK singles chart.
Welch has been married to actor Tim Healy since 1988. They have two children.
In 2002 she guest starred in Holby City playing risk manager Pam McGrath, whilst conducting an affair with Mubbs Hussein.
In 2006 she appeared in Waterloo Road and in 2007 she is starring in the second series of Waterloo Road.
She currently still appears as a regular panelist on ITV1's Loose Women where she has discussed her experience of having an abortion when she was younger.
In June 2006 she guest appeared in The Bill.
