Denis Grebeshkov (born October 11, 1983) is a Russian ice hockey defenceman who played parts of two years for the Los Angeles Kings and New York Islanders of the NHL.
Grebeshkov was born in Yaroslavl, Soviet Union He was a first round selection, 18th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. He was traded to the Islanders on March 8, 2006, along with Jeff Tambellini in exchange for Mark Parrish and Brent Sopel. Having been unable to come to a contract agreement with the Islanders, Grebeshkov returned to Russia to play with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl for the 2006-07 season.
On February 18, 2007, his rights were traded to the Edmonton Oilers for defenceman Marc-Andre Bergeron and a third round choice in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.[1]
