Denbigh High School is a public four year secondary school in Newport News, Virginia, and a part of Newport News Public School system. It was rated "Fully Accredited" by the Virginia Department of Education for the 2005-2006 school year. Denbigh hosts to the Aviation program, as well as SAT, and ACT testing for Newport News Public School System.

Denbigh High was established in 1965, with its first graduating class in 1968. For a time Newport News had 5 year high schools and Denbigh (the northernmost of the cities high schools) had 8-12th grades. The class of 1968 presented, as a memorial, a step from the first Denbigh school. The class of 1970 was the first class to go through an entire 5 years at Denbigh High.

The choral and band programs have won numerous awards in local, regional, state, and national competitions.

Denbigh High School and other NNPS have a Telecommunications Program. It allows interested student to go out and shoot live football and basketball games. Students experience reporting, producing, camera work, editing etc.

Denbigh High School's student population totals 1922 students, composed of 962 males and 812 females. There are 51 percent African-American, 35 percent Caucasian, 8 percent Hispanic, and 5 percent Asian or Pacific Islander.
