[edit] Overview
The PAW-20 (Personal Assault Weapon) is a semi-automatic grenade launcher that fires a 20mm point detonating round. It holds up to 7 rounds in the box magazine, each having an effective range of 300-400 metres. Its main use is to attack soldiers close together or behind light cover. Because its only firing function is grenades, soldiers will also need to carry a Personal Defense Weapon or Carbine in conjunction with the grenade launcher.[1] The PAW-20 is in direct competition with the American XM-25.
There has been criticism concerning the ejection port of the weapon, due to the shells being ejected near the firer's face which produces obvious hazards for the firer.
