My first Instrument was the violin which wasn't my first choice as all the other kids in my class had taken all the so called trendy instruments,e.g. Sax, trumpet, clarinet, etc . I carried on learning and understood the value of my then Instrument playing with the school orchestra and touring at different schools. It broadened my understandings of Sections, Ensembles and the communication between the musicians. Later in life I joined various bands playing Bass guitar for various groups & playing as a session musician. I then started to make my own demos developing and making mistakes as well as demos for the group I was with at the time. This certainly helped me to learn the basics of sound, and sound channeling. I'am all for the Schools of audio engineering but I must state that the best way to learn is with an experienced engineer on hand who is willing to let you sit and watch or being dropped right into a session where as the Engineer hasn't turned up and you're the only engineer available at this time, you have a choice either to go home or you prove to yourself that you can do this and under pressure with the producer looking at his watch. Once you can do this, you're halfway there because anyone can learn the equipment but the main thing in engineering and including live mixing is controlling pressure keeping a cool mind but an open mind. I will be giving some tips and ideas that I have, collected from various engineers and studios and also from myself. I've worked with Rootical masters/Soul Giants/Princes & Princesses of lovers rock/Zulu kings/ Kings & Queens of world music and many others. Demondo is my production name(meaning "of the world") and I've been working with top reggae/roots/dub masters since the late seventies, backing artists from Jamaica and the UK as a session bass player and later in the years to play various other Instruments for Greensleeves / UK-Bubblers / Ariwa / and many others mentioned on the productions link. When I started the two record labels: Lymelyte records & Heritage records, i never quite got the sound that i wanted from those engineers who did not understand the reggae or Soul vibes & Grooves I was trying to put across. So i decided to mix myself after watching various good engineers mix my productions well. I learnt most of my craft from Norman Jarret / Lindel Lewis/ Mad Professor/ Patrick Donegan and many other freelance engineers that came and went through the years. Working for Mad Professor, i picked up a few tips on frequencies as well as listening to the original dub masters back in the day e.g. Tubbys/Perry plus many others. I also love to mix at live music concerts to which i have been travelling around the globe constantly. I have been to most continents except South America, helping new and up and coming bands realize their potential in studios around the world, and helping them to understand the world of Reggae music in their own country. At the present I'm still mixing, mainly in Europe and the Caribbean not really having time to go into the studios to make my own music... but I'm working on that.

GENERAL FACTS PAST & PRESENT: Remixer for Rnb , Dance , Reggae , Dub , Jump-up , Zouk , Hip Hop , Groove , & World music since 1986. I have been working in France since 1993 Mixing for the top Hiphop/ French RnB & Reggae Artists,as Guadeloupe & Martinique are french departments,i frequent there regularly working and mixing for locals and record companies. When i have the time i also teach the young engineers the basics of Engineering. At this moment in time i'm concentrating on helping bands Internationally , in the Caribbean , Africa & the European Community, showing them the easiest route to their 1st Recordings at a fraction of the cost. Im very much involved with a p.a. system based in london in the UK , handling & delivering from 1.000 watts to 100.000 watts of pure power which has started officially.
