I'm aware of at least one Maldivian with a Christian name who says he's Christian -- how does this square with the article's statement that all Maldivians are Sunni Muslims? Johnleemk | Talk 15:31, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

As an anon I thought I'd better not actually remove it, but this bit:

"Strict adherence to Islamic precepts and close community relationships have helped keep crime low and under control."
