Dementia Radio is an internet-based SHOUTcast "radio" station operating out of Florida. It started airing on November 2, 2000, and is non-profit.
The format of the station is usually novelty and comedy music (known as "dementia", named after the format's most popular personality Dr. Demento), though some of the live DJs may spin dance tracks, EuroPop, Japanese anime music, or anything else that would not normally see the air on mainstream USA over-the-air broadcasts. The automatic jockey software on the station's server, however, sticks to comedy and novelty music.
On October 2, 2006, Dementia Radio's Jamin Peace, known to listeners as "DJ Blindwulf", died from heart failure at age 27. The staff of Dementia Radio has set up a memorial fund in his honor.
