Talk:Delegated legislation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Are laws made under the Scotland Act 1998 delegated or primary? Morwen - Talk 14:54, 18 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- Interesting question; I don't know.... I suppose the statutory instruments made per European Communities Act 1972 are definitely delegated rather than primary. More types of UK legislations are at [1]. – Kaihsu 18:40, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
I think Acts of the Scottish Parliament are considered primary and Scottish Statutory Instruments secondary. The National Assembly of Wales can only make Statutory Instruments, which are considered secondary. – Kaihsu 16:19, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Just realized something
I just realized that we have two separate families of articles that need to be crosslinked. It looks like as if delegated legislation is the term used in UK law for what Americans call administrative law. --Coolcaesar 02:39, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
