[edit] Summary
This image is of a music single cover, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the single or the artist(s) which produced the music or artwork in question. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of album or single covers
- solely to illustrate the album or single in question,
- on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation,
qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Fair use for more information.
To the uploader: please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Image description page, as well as the source of the work and copyright information.
[edit] Fair use for Some Other Sucker's Parade
This image, Del Amitri - Not Where It's At single cover.jpg, is being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright I (Ed Williamson, username Harryedwards) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- it is a low resolution copy of a CD single cover;
- it does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell the CD single in any way;
- copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the single artwork on another CD.
