The Delphi Indy 200 was an Indy Racing League IndyCar Series race held at Walt Disney World Speedway in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The race was the inaugural event for the Indy Racing League in 1996. The event was held on the last Saturday in January, the day before the Super Bowl. It was effectively, the first major auto race of the year in the United States. In 1999, the race was held on a Sunday, during the bye week between the AFC/NFC Championship games and the Super Bowl.

Following the 2000 race, an agreement could not be resolved for a race date for 2001. The nearby city of Tampa was scheduled to host Super Bowl XXXV and Disney officials did not want to hold the race in such close proximity to the Super Bowl. In addition, the IRL was not satisfied with the large gap in the series schedule created with the January race. Meanwhile, the track received bad publicty after several severe accidents, including that of Sam Schmidt, who became paralyzed. The race was not rescheduled for 2001, and was removed permanently from the schedule.
