Delilah Cotto was born on November 26 in Brooklyn, New York to Puerto Rican parents. She studied drama at the High School of Performing Arts in New York City. She trained at the William Esper Studio and studied dance.

Cotto's film credits include starring roles in Empire (2002), Girl 6, and Lean on Me [1].
