Delaware Stadium

Delaware Stadium is a 22,000-seat multi-purpose stadium in Newark, Delaware. It opened in 1952. It is home to the University of Delaware Blue Hens football team. It hosted the Division I NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship in 1984 and 1986. Delaware Stadium consistently ranks among the highest in terms of D-1AA attendance. Average attendance for the 2006 season was 21,825; second only to Montana University.
On August 29, 2002 the field was dedicated as Tubby Raymond Field, in honor of longtime Blue Hen Football coach Harold "Tubby" Raymond.
The stadium has its own mini-stadium, the University of Delaware Mini-Stadium, located beside the main stadium.
