Delaware Route 16
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Delaware Route 16 is an east/west state highway in Delaware, mainly across northern Sussex County, with a small portion near the Maryland Border in extreme southwestern Kent County. It runs from Maryland Route 16 to Delaware Route 1 near Broadkill Beach. The state of Delaware has encouraged its use as an alternative route for Delaware Route 404 to avoid potentially costly upgrades to Route 404. Route 16 serves mostly to connect the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area with the ocean resorts via U.S. Route 50 in Maryland and Maryland Route 404.
