Delanie Jenkins is an American artist.
Delanie Jenkins is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Studio Arts in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she teaches sculpture. She received a BA in Art and Performance from the University of Texas at Dallas, and, in 1993, an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She began as an architectural designer, which influences her current explorations of installation art.
Her installations have been exhibited nationally and a recent project funded by the Heinz Endowments included a three-year garden installation that was harvested for materials used to create sculptural works for exhibition. Her current works focus on material and highlight the ordinary. She is currently working on a body of work in print and digital media, sculpture, and performance for Pittsburgh's prestigious Artist of the Year Exhibition at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in 2007.
