[edit] Hey man listen up

hey there Joseph u have a problem with those pics please tell me well i protected it so that no one chumma puts up stuff man dont delete those pics if u have a problem please share it with me.....

it isn't a problem so much... it's just that stuff like dheeraj in action and bleed at yamaha roxx (i think), are hardly noteworthy. maybe i'm wrong. but if you're the dheeraj in question, then that's a bit of chumma promoting your own band, isn't it? there is a lot of rubbish that goes into wikipedia. and there are others who regularly come around cleaning it up... you needn't have protected it, just visit it regularly and clean up the messy bits. don't take it personally, da... this is a topic that needs regular editing... what with every second official dps rk puram band claiming to be the biggest band in india, etc. joseph 02:43, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bleed

The article Bleed has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 18:59, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Bleed2.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Bleed2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NickContact/Contribs 19:50, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE:hey Nick

Hello Deipheron and thank you for your message. The Bleed article was deleted by an administrator per the Criteria for Speedy Deletion, A7. Now, the Bleed page is simply a redirect to a disambiguation page about bleeding. If you would like to reintroduce the article, I suggest that you create it initially as a subpage of your user page. You can do this by editing User:Deipheron/Bleed. Then, once you have a "rough draft" in your user space, I could look over it and let you know if, in my opinion, it meets the inclusion criteria for Wikipedia. I suggest you look at these three policies: WP:BAND, WP:V, and WP:RS. If your draft meets those requirements then there will be no problem reintroducing it as an article.

Once again, thank you for contacting me. I wish you luck with your article. If you have any further questions, feel free to bring them to my talk page. --NickContact/Contribs 05:09, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

First of all, I would suggest removing the Contact section at the bottom. It is not very encyclopedic. Secondly, you need to introduce information into the article which shows that it is noteworthy, that is why there should be an encyclopedia article about it. The guideline on Wikipedia regarding notability for bands is WP:BAND, so read through that. To meet the verification requirements, you need to have independent sources (other than the bands website). These should be added at the bottom of the article in a section called References. I wouldn't be surprised if someone puts a speedy deletion tag on the article again. If they do that, you can request some extra time to fix it before its deleted by following the instructions on the deletion tag. It will tell you to place the {{holdon}} template at the top of the article and provide an explanation on the talk page. --NickContact/Contribs 05:20, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Yes, any websites which may establish notability should be added to the article. --NickContact/Contribs 05:36, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. [edit] AfD nomination of Bleed (band)

An editor has nominated Bleed (band), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bleed (band) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Jayden54Bot 11:12, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

It doesn't help posting this same article on the Bleed redirect page.--Kungfu Adam (talk) 15:03, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
