[edit] Merger

Hi- I added a brief sentance about the November 1997 massacre that took place at the site. Having just recently returned from Egypt, this information is important and connects an ancient site to the events of the modern world.

Hi - I have merged this article with the Mentuhotep III mortuary temple (which was just an image anyway), so that are of the monuments can be brought together in one area. Markh 12:15, August 20, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Famous tombs

Many famous tombs like Hatshepsut's are found.
