Deir Ghassana

DEir Ghassana (Ar ديرغسانة) is a Palestinian village in the West Bank. It is located 26 km north west of Ramallah and is 499 meters above the sea level. It is surrounded by the villages of Kufr al Deek, Brouqin, Beit Reema, Kufr Ein, Aboud, Allubban and Deir Ballout. The village's area is 12800 dunums, 4450 of them are olive grooves. Deir Ghassaneh was a very important center in Palestine, where the taxes of Jerusalem and Hebron were paid to in the village as a leadership center. Now in Deir ghassaneh there are more than 1800 person living there, they came from different clans specially Albrghouti, Alshuaibi and Alrabi, other are refugees since 1948.
