Hmmm I believe this theorem is true for infinite extensions too (where the cardinality of the bases multiply), but I need to look that up... Dmharvey 19:53, 17 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] notes on rewrite

  • could someone please check all the indexing for the proof of the multiplicitivity formula, that kind of stuff can be very fiddly and annoying
  • could someone please fix up my explanation of the example for Q(sqrt2,sqrt3), it's not great as I've written it
