[edit] adding regulars not in the credits??

I just noticed that Nina Dobrev and Steve Belford are profiled in the new CTV website for the show:

  http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/show/CTVShows/20051004/Degrassi-castbio-young/20061031/

Is it all right to move these two to cast regulars not in the credits? I'm just curious.

[edit] Ok, whoever is messing with the character articles, needs to stop

Whoever is doing that needs to stop. They are making articles for characters that shouldn't have one, like Mia. And they are putting links with other names like Jesse and Derek, that lead to articles that have nothing to do with the show. But they should NOT make the an article. Well Derek you could, but not Jesse. Brainboy109 November 26th 2006, 1:14 (UTC)

[edit] degrassi

Degrassi is one of my favorite shows.Degrssi Rocks! Its the most realistic show of all times. It should be played 10 hours a day everyday.I love this show.My favorite characters are Craige,Ashly,Manny,Emma, and Sean. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 4.68.248.202 (talk) 03:09, 14 December 2006 (UTC).

Yes thats nice, but who really cares? Were here to talk about the article, and this is not a forum.

[edit] Chuck Cunningham Syndrome

The Chuck Cunningham syndrome section is written really bad. Could somebody please perform some major cleanup on this section. HorseApples 06:04, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

I tried to do some major cleanup, but I don't think the CCS deserves it's own section. The entire section should be moved to the trivia or character section imho. Mobylon 14:55, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia Infobox

I have removed: "The fictional character infobox template that should be used on all DTNG character articles can be accessed here." from the article, it should be here on the talk page, not in the article itself. --Squeak 23:47, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] De grassi Community school

Asian american? African American? They aren't asian american, or african american. they are asian, or African(though when they wrote african american they most likely meant black), so should we just drop the american parts, because they aren't unless stated as americans.

RIII 04:05, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

What's the deal with the new "Degrassi Community School" section? It doesn't really add something, and is imo completely unnecessesary. It should be deleted. Mobylon 14:50, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

There's a lot of information on the school. It could really turn out to be informative and add more to the Degrassi articles. It's just in its infacy and if more work is provided to channel the information, then it could turn out pretty well and a good resource. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.229.220.235 (talk) 03:13, 15 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Split

The article should be split into two separate pages. Main characters and minor.

The article is on Degrassi: The Next Generation, there is no page for just characters - which is quite sensible as it would be quite foolhardy to have a page on DTNG without mentioning any characters. There is no need to "split the article into two separate pages" - there need only be one page for this one television series. Tinkstar1985 08:59, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Censorship

This section needs a clean up. Particularly: "Another very minor example is a public service announcement by Aubrey Graham and Ephraim Ellis at the end of "Time Stands Still" against gun violence, which is cut out entirely in the United States. (This public service announcement was shown on in the U.S. on The N network. It featured Aubrey Graham only.)"

I found this section hard to understand, particularly the "was shown on in the U.S." - was it shown only in the US?, or just shown in the US on The N? Was the episode shown? Or was the episode not shown, even though the service anouncement was (minus Ephraim Ellis)? Tinkstar1985 09:07, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Someone has deleted the edits that were (presumably) made by the N/Nogging in the US. Since I don't live in the US, I don't know which edits have taken place, and which not. Could someone "repair" the censorship section with correct info please? Mobylon 11:12, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

I deleted those, as most were incorrect. I think the original poster's mother had turned on their V-chip. I've been watching since Kids of Degrassi Street, both the syndicated shows on PBS and now Noggin, and the CBC and CTV first run episodes on sattelite. Noggin just did not censor the bulk of the items in that section. Esp. anything after Manny's knock-up in season 3, the network took alot of heat for censoring that in the U.S. and they have not censored anything after that episode. Cheers. L0b0t 15:46, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
We should keep the Censorship section and perhaps even make a separate article if there's more information. However, only VERIFIABLE information should be added. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Xallium (talkcontribs) 16:26, 9 February 2007 (UTC).

I agree wholeheartedly, censoring Manny's abortion was a big deal and is still in the article. Some of the other items weren't really censorship (such as blurring brand names), and some were patent nonsense (the blood on J.T. York's shirt) so I removed those. DTNG has gotten a decent amount of press and there is at least 1 book about the show, so there is no excuse for any unsourced additions to this article. Cheers. L0b0t 19:14, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

I know some edits may seem unimportant or minor but should might as well be included if a reliable source is cited. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Xallium (talkcontribs) 01:08, 10 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Daniel Clark

Does daniel clarks departure during season 4 and 5 need its own section? Seems unnecessary to me. Mobylon 22:33, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
