Deerfield-Windsor School, located in Albany, Georgia, started the annual Spring Musical in 1988, with a small production of Grease.

Dianne Giddens helped with the musicals in the beginning years and then became Director after Susie Thomas was no longer available.

The musicals were produced in the following order:

Sets and props slowly transformed into very complex accessories to the musicals. When the musicals moved from the actual school building to the Albany Municipal Auditorium, much more stage room was provided. Large sets are now designed and built at a warehouse in downtown Albany. Parents run the set and prop formation.

Many lead roles have been played by many actors, the most memorable being:

In 2006 it was decided to perform the famous musical for the following Spring. The lead cast was composed of William Benson, Jake Shiflett, Butler Stoudenmire, Lucie Hawkins, Collins Goss, John Henry Spann, and Holly Sewell. Munchkins were played by 1st-5th grade students from Deerfield's Lower Campus.
