Deepak Thakur

Deepak Thakur Sonkhla (born December 28, 1980 in Bhamowal, Hoshiarpur) is a field hockey forward from India, who made his international debut for the Men's National Team in June 1999 in a test serie against Germany. Nicknamed Happy, Thakur represented his native country at two consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 2000 in Sydney, Australia, where India finished in seventh place. His younger sister is a national badminton player.
