[edit] My (HereToHelp’s) RfA
Thank you for supporting my RfA. I’m proud to inform you that it passed 75 support to 1 oppose to 2 neutral. I promise to make some great edits in the future (with edit summaries!) and use these powers to do all that I can to help. After all, that’s what I’m here for! (You didn’t think I could send a thank you note without a bad joke, could I?) --HereToHelp 12:08, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] I'm honestly surprised
That I didn't figure out who Rick was sooner. Oh well... the truth sets one free! :D Daniel Davis 03:13, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jedi6
I leave for two days and their is a whole conflict with Doom127 and I get nominated for adminship. Why does everything exiciting happen when I leave? Also did I miss anything else major. Jedi6-(need help?) 04:40, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- I plan on accepting as soon as I finish the questions. I didn't have enough time to do it yesterday. Jedi6-(need help?) 18:58, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:1960Patriots.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:1960Patriots.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 19:01, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] My RfA
Hello Deckiller/archive15: Thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which passed with a final tally of 77/3/0. I hope I can perform at the standards expected for administrators. If I make any mistakes, or you need anything, please let me know. Prodego talk 01:15, 4 April 2006 (UTC) |
[edit] My RfA
Hi Deckiller. Just a quick note to thank you for your support in my RfA, which recently passed 62/13/6. I'd also like to thank you for leaving your kind note of congratulations on my talk page. I will do my very best live up to this new responsibility and to serve the community, but please let me know if I make any mistakes or if you have any feedback at all on my actions. Finally, if there is anything that I can assist you with - please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers TigerShark 03:34, 4 April 2006 (UTC) |
[edit] Star Wars Image
I found this image, Image:WikiDS.png. Its pretty cool but it may be under fair use. What do you think? Jedi6-(need help?) 04:29, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Phair
I've placed a section about Phair onto Wikipedia's Admin Noticeboard. Feel free to visit it and leave a comment. A user evading a block is one thing, attempting to use it to tamper with an RFA vote is another matter entirely. Daniel Davis 06:18, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- I appreciate what you've done Deckiller- it's just that, given how freaking long we've been fighting against B4L and his associated sockpuppets, it would be nice if the admins would at least say SOMETHING on the noticeboard page regarding Phair. Whether to agree or disagree is fine, but to completely ignore the section put up (especially since the sock is committing vote fraud) is disheartening. Daniel Davis 23:36, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Portal:Star Wars/Vote
I would like your input of the current nominations at Portal:Star Wars/Vote. Especially since no one really touches that page anymore. :-( Jedi6-(need help?) 04:49, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] I'll have you know
I worked for half an hour on that stupid thing. So I'm neutral now, waiting to see how things go. If it looks like Jedi6 isn't going to make it, I'll probably change the vote back. But at the moment I'm a bit miffed. Daniel Davis 19:19, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- You think that having a big red "this RFA isn't succeeding!" percentage is going to cause people to "leap upon the bandwagon" and oppose vote? Daniel Davis 19:22, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
-
- "The beauracrat may choose not to count some votes"- That's all well and good, but the tally percentage utilizes the data directly from the tally score itself (which itself incorporates "beauracrat crossings off"). Besides that, it's there for Jedi6 to quickly gauge how well he's doing- it's not something taken into effect by a beauracrat in their final decision. Daniel Davis 19:28, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hey there
Hello there mate, I was wondering if I could slave myself to you for a while. I trimmed a few images in Star Wars articles here and there, but I just wanted to let you know that if you ever need somebody to do some grunt work for you, I'm only a step away. :P _-M o P-_ 21:55, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AOL / IP related Blocks
Please be aware that when you or the autoblocker block a proxy used by AOL, you are not blocking one individual but anyone who is randomly assigned that number by their Internet provider. This includes registered Wiki editors. Due to this situation, this proxy number, and related numbers, should not be blocked for any lengthy periods of time. I experience this problem frequently. Please see my User Page User:WBardwin/AOL Block Collection for a record of my experiences. Information on the block is found below. I would appreciate a prompt release of this block. Thank you. WBardwin 00:21, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing.
You were blocked by Deckiller for the following reason (see our blocking policy): "Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Gentzkowmp". The reason given for Gentzkowmp's block is: "vandalism"." Your IP address is 207.200.116.197.

- Thanks for the release -- appreciate your attention. WBardwin 07:22, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User page layout
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I think you have a great user page layout :-). In fact, I like it so much that I'm using a (very slightly) modified form for my own user page over on Wookieepedia. I hope you don't mind. Rmfitzgerald50 03:20, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- Cool, thanks for the comment ^_^ I had a LOT of help from User:Sango123, who introduced the layout (I tweaked with it a bit, added some information, but she designed the boxes). — Deckiller 10:51, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] You blocked an AOL ISP
You have blocked AOL ISP, 207.200.116.134. which is against wikipedia's block policy. I know this because I use AOL, and your block has effected me. Please remove the block promptly, I am in the middle of remodeling the Marshall, Texas article which currently has an inuse notice on it. Thanks. -JCarriker 22:40, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
