Decontrol

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Decontrol were a Canadian D-beat Punk band formed in October of 1996 after their old band Dödsdömd called it quits and decided to play more raw music. They were greatly inspired by Swedish Hardcore and played a Discharge meets Anti Cimex sound.

The band sang about the constant evils of the earth like the police, military, rich, nationalism, ignorance, capitalism, consumerism, television, pollution, and most of all nuclear power. Their songs talked a lot about what the aftermath will be for the future by relying on nuclear power and machines to run our lives in a post apocalyptic world.

The band released one demo and four LPs before calling it quits. The members moved on to form other bands such as Inepsy.
