I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this, but would anyone else rather see this category named "Deceased Wikipedians" or "Wikipedians who have died"? There's something about "Dead Wikipedians" that seems a little... morbid, or cold, or something. Maybe I'm just squeamish, though. I can't deny that "Dead Wikipedians" gets the point across. --Allen 04:45, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Support page-move. The main difference between "deceased" and "dead" is that the former is more clinical and neutral-sounding, whereas "dead" is more casual and colloquial; it would sound out-of-place to hear "deceased" in an informal conversation, so the reason "dead" seems out-of-place here (and would seem the same in an obituary or funeral service) is because it's plain directness and lack of formality makes it seem irreverent, casual, and even humorous in nature. Well, now "Dead Wikipedians" appears as a subcategory of "Deceased Wikipedians". Is there a way to stop that, or is that just how redirected categories work? --Allen 02:57, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

Tdxiang, I appreciate the time you took to create the userbox you put on the category page, but per Chan-Ho Suh's edits on User:Kwantus, I think we should consider removing the userbox. A small text note, or simply the addition of the category, seems like enough to me, and something everyone could agree on. --Allen 02:33, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
