This article is about the Dexter character. For the actress from All My Children, see Debbi Morgan.
Deborah "Debra" Morgan is Dexter Morgan's foster sister on the Showtime TV series Dexter. She is a vice cop desperate to be transferred to homicide, a goal she accomplishes in the 2nd episode. Debra has always been somewhat jealous of Dexter, especially when it comes to his relationship with Harry Morgan (her father and his foster father). She is smart, but unsure of herself, and so relies on Dexter's "expertise" to solve difficult cases. When she formulates a theory regarding one of Dexter's victims that could expose him, he steers the investigation in a different direction, pointing to her lack of experience, knowing all along that her theory is correct.
