[edit] Speedy deletion of Timeline of Plantation, Florida
A tag has been placed on Timeline of Plantation, Florida, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. A mcmurray (talk • contribs) 14:01, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Concerns
I have a couple of concerns I thought I would run by you, since I have opened an incident report on the noticeboard.
Looking through your contribution history I noticed that you have some serious contributions and then a number of, well, not so serious contributions. It appears you are torn over becoming a good, contributing Wikipedian. You should. Vandalism destroys the hard work of others as does unhelpful edits, they are mostly one in the same.
Secondly, the information on your user page is blatantly falsified. I request that you change the information to, either be factually correct or blank. If not, that user page will have to be requested for deletion because it is misleading and unethical.A mcmurray (talk • contribs) 14:41, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

- The timeline was a blatant copyright violation. It was copied word for word (nearly) from the website of Plantation, Florida, which is copyrighted and decidely NOT public domain. Sorry. Better luck next time. You still haven't addressed my question above. Anyway I am not the one who deleted your article, an administrator, wh clearly agreed did.A mcmurray (talk • contribs) 01:34, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hiatus Road
While it was a pleasure to expand Hiatus Road and I'm familiar with the area I thought I would let you know its been tagged as This article is being considered for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policy. [[User:Slysplace a Gnome at work]] 02:56, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] No prob
Yeah no problem. Sorry if I was overly reactive. Just used to dealing with a lot of stuff on the wiki where people aren't so well intentioned.A mcmurray (talk • contribs) 03:06, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

- Hey Death Star: I am glad to see you trying to reform, that's a really good thing. Imagine a depository of all attained human knowledge, that is what Wikipedia could become, truly an amazing idea. And all for free. I commented on the incident notice, and noted that it could probably be closed.
Also if you have any questions about anything I am here to help, do not hesitate to ask me anything on my talk page.
As for Hiatus Road, I nominated for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policy, I would note that the process the article is going through now is, by far, the most thorough process that an article can go through. Their are three levels of deletion proposals: speedy (which is the process the timeline and the teacher article went through), proposed, and articles for deletion (AfD) (the one that Hiatus Road is going through).
You should feel free to chime in on the discussion going on at the Hiatus Road deletion discussion.
What you need to try to do is establish the road's notability according to Wikipedia:Notability and its verifiability according to Wikipedia:Attribution.
Read and become familiar with those policies, additionally I would say don't get discouraged. Even if these article don't make the cut. Other Wikipedians, such as myself, will be willing to work with you if show that you genuinely want to contribute to the encyclopedia. We try to assume good faith, and I am not always so good at that, which is why my first interactions with you were probably so harsh, but you can bounce back, I am sure.
So welcome to Wikipedia! I have included a handy template below with some other links that might help. Don't hesitate to hit me up on my talk page, anytime, I am on a lot of the time.A mcmurray (talk • contribs) 03:58, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
