Use {{dead link}} when you find a dead external link within a paragraph. Append this template after the link, leaving the original link intact. This template is designed similar to {{fact}}, so it will not disrupt the flow of the text in the article.

Provide a link to the Wayback machine for convenience of other editors. Do this only if the history is actually available.
