deathgaze (pronounced: Desgeizu) is a hardcore Angura Kei band from Nagoya, Japan (home of many hardcore Japanese rock bands). They have their own unique sound and screamo antics supplied by vocalist Sou. His vocals isn't that of the 'normal' J-rock or visual kei bands that comes around. They have a good following including Kisaki, playing with most of the Undercode bands such as Phantasmagoria and Rentrer en Soi.
The band consists of Naoto (guitarist), Naoki (drummer), and Ai (bassist). The vocalist, Hazuki, left in spring of 2004 to form his own band named lynch., not wanting to follow Ai's composition and lyrics, but his own. In late 2004, they found another singer with the same vocal talents as Hazuki named Sou, who also left in late 2006 because of personal reasons.
Currently, they have released 6 singles (one re-release) and a full-length album.
