Death of a Preacher is a feature-length film produced and edited by Jerry Grimes.
The film was originally screened at the 2002 Hollywood Underground Film Festival under an alternate title and was later released by Cave Entertainment as Death of a Preacher.
The controversial film, which chronicles Grimes' transition from the world of entertainment into the world of religion and theology, has garnered both criticism from the religious community as well as praise for its boldness.

Death of a Preacher II: The Western Wall
Grimes is scheduled to release the highly-anticipated sequel entitled, Death of a Preacher II: The Western Wall in March of 2007. The film was delayed amidst the ever-evolving financial status of The Cave Entertainment Group and its imprint Grimescorp, Inc.
Like its predecessor, scenes from Death of a Preacher II have been filmed in a variety of locations including Raleigh, North Carolina, Richmond, Virginia, Los Angeles, California and Bangkok, Thailand.
Most notably, the film features the etablishment of Grimes' liberation theology as a means of appropriating Christian socialism while at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Grimes' famed sermon When the Morning Comes... addresses this appropriation directly.
