Death Sentence is a 2007 film adaptation of Brian Garfield's 1975 novel. The film is directed by Saw director James Wan, and stars Aisha Tyler and Kevin Bacon. The film is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2007. It was filmed in Columbia, South Carolina, although it's speculated that the movie will take place in Chicago, Illinois.

When a family falls victim to a vicious attack perpetrated as a gang initiation ritual, the vengeful father, John Hume (Kevin Bacon), vows to track down each person involved in the crime. A homicide detective (Aisha Tyler) suspects John is exacting a murderous revenge on all who were involved in the crime.
