Dean Phoenix (born April 25, 1974 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico) is a gay porn star. An uncut top, he is known for his smile, curved penis, and passion for twinks. At one time he was romantically linked with another porn star, Colby Taylor.

Phoenix grew up in El Centro, California. During his last year of high school, Phoenix fell in love with a fellow male student and subsequently "came out" as gay.[1]

While working as a bartender at Rich's Bar in San Diego, California, Dean Phoenix was approached by All Worlds Studio director Mike Donner[2] about doing some nude modeling. At first, Phoenix was hesitant and turned down the opportunity. A year later, finding himself newly single and heavily in debt, Phoenix decided to take the plunge into the gay porn industry.[3] His first gay sex scene was with Tanner Hayes in the video 1st Time Tryers #9, which was released by All Worlds Video in 1998. For the next several years, Phoenix appeared in two dozen videos. He decided to retire from the porn industry in late 2000.[4] In 2004, Phoenix was enticed out of retirement when John Rutherford of Colt Studio presented Phoenix with the Jerry Douglas script for Buckleroos.[5]

Phoenix's role in Buckleroos (DVD pictured at right) marked the first time he bottomed on film, and that role garnered him a Best Actor trophy as well as a Best Sex Scene trophy at the 2005 GayVN Awards.

He continues to be active in the gay porn industry.
